Breaking Down The Difference Between Earned and Paid Advertising

I can’t believe another week has gone by so quickly! If you read last week’s blog post, it was about finding motivation and pushing through to achieve your end goals. This week I decided to bring it back around digital marketing for all of you small business owners and entrepreneurs out there! Whether you’re starting a new business or trying to become a new digital nomad, you’ll need to get down the basics of digital marketing (or at least until you can hire someone with the right expertise). In today’s digital landscape, there are primarily two different kinds of advertising to gain website traffic, brand awareness, and conversions. They are known as paid and unpaid (or earned). Now many of you might think, “Why would I pay for advertising if I can achieve the same results with unpaid?” Well, honestly it’s just not that simple. Now the only way I was going to find out that I was wrong, was by actually being wrong. You can read industry best practices and take advice from consultants all day long, but at the end of the day YOUR data is where your particular truth lies. Don’t get me wrong, it’s best to start off by using the knowledge of other experts initially, but testing will optimize those findings even further! Let me explain what I mean when it comes to Haley Had a Little Blog. Continue reading

How to Use Twitter for Networking Purposes

Now that almost everyone and everything is incorporated into the world of social media, many wonder how to use each platform. Yes- believe it or not here is why I think being active (professionally) on Twitter pays off even more. Continue reading
