Most of us don’t have perfect Hallmark movie Christmases, and most of us tend to procrastinate when it comes to the gift-giving aspects of everything. “What should I get my best friend? Why You Need to Take Some Time for Yourself

I just took a week off from work, and man did I need it! It wasn’t that my job was so stressful that I couldn’t handle it anymore, I’ve just had a lot going on in multiple areas of my life for a long time now. I decided to combine my Thanksgiving holiday time with a couple more days simply because I needed a break from everything! I got to see family, participate in holiday traditions, relax, go out with old friends, and get in a mini road trip where I got to meet Conan O’Brien! I’m a huge fan of his by the way, so that was awesome. Vacation time doesn’t solve every problem you have, but it can help you adjust your attitude towards certain things. Taking time for yourself can help with… Continue reading

My Quick Money-Saving Tips

As some of you already know, I am a huge proponent of saving money without cutting out the enjoyable parts of life! Once I started working and driving, I quickly learned that I had to save money and allocate portions of my paycheck to things like gas and insurance. All of a sudden Venti Frappucinos from Starbucks and trendy clothing had to take a backseat. Even though I’m all for a great deal, I do believe in spending your money on the enjoyable parts of your life as well. Here are some of my suggestions for spending and saving the smart way! What to Consider When Planning Out Your Summer

Ever since I can remember, I have started out every summer with dreams, aspirations and goals that I thought I could obtain. Some summers I do accomplish more than others, but most of the time I spent wayyyyyy too much time sleeping in and getting addicted to different TV shows. With the advent of Netflix, this bad habit has only gotten much, much worse. I’ve found if I don’t go out of my way to plan out what I’m going to do with the little bit of summer I do have, it will just fly past me 100 miles-per-hour. These are the things that you should consider when making that list… Continue reading

Most of us have a love/hate relationship with money for obvious reasons. We love the idea of having nice things that make our lives more tolerable, but we still don’t want to break the bank. I am a huge fan of saving, especially since I don’t have much of a disposable income these days! I’m not a coupon-clipper per say, but I do enjoy a good sale! Even though my ego inflates the more discounts I take advantage of, there are just certain times where I know that I need to fork out some more dough. It pains my cheap heart to say this, but these are the times that I believe in spending more money.
